Quad Cities Bars

Because they’re really friendly (translate: they haven’t booted me out of the bar yet) and have the requisite skills (getting it rapid and right), I added Tori at Bierstube Davenport (who was really overdue), Sarah at Mulligan’s Valley Pub, both Dino and Traci (actually, more a server than bartender, and I hope I spelled the name right) at Poor Boy’s, and Haley’s at Governor’s Bettendorf, to my favorite bartender list.  Favorite bartenders, to me, are reasons to go back to a bar in the absence of any other reasons.   I was advised that MC's was the prior version of the 84 Roadhouse.  I added the Sports Lounge at the Ramada ( Moline ) and Pagalo’s in Milan this week, bringing the new total to 340.  Found out the Bait Shop outside West River Park was off the list of potentials, as well as the Enchanted Inn – it was actually only on the ‘What’s left’ list for two days, and we took the 40 mile drive out to see it (live in Port Byron) and investigate.  Closed.

I’ve added a new page so that you can now not only see the list of bars I‘ve been to, but the bars remaining in the Quad Cities that I haven’t hit yet (click “What’s left” above).   I try to research this periodically to see if some potential additions are still open, have changed, or that some that had closed are reopening.   I welcome any comments on this list; please let me know if I’m missing any.   You’ll notice that there are 44 on this list, and I need 63 to hit 400.   Uh-oh!   This list includes “traditional” bars only, but fortunately there still are a few restaurants, bowling alleys, and golf courses that have bars I should be able to add to make up the difference. Tacked on Applebee’s (West Kimberly) a week ago Sunday for #328, but weather and travel have hindered me (actually, a trip to San Francisco when it’s in the low 70’s, even for work, can’t really be labeled a hindrance) until Wednesday, when I crossed Firehouse Bar & Grill, Oceanside Lounge, and Frick’s Tap off the list.   Current tally stands at 331.   Click “The List” above to see the roster.
