1/26/2012 Update – Havana Daydreamin’

I finally made it to the Redstone Room, knocking a charter member off of the What’s Left list.  Good time to go, too:  the Havana Daydreamin’ Pre-Party, with the Sin City Orchestra joined at various times by Dave Ellis on vocals and guitar, John Patti on the steel drums, Doyle Grisham (of the Coral Reefers) on steel guitar, and Nadira Shakoor (also of the Coral Reefers) on vocals. My additions to the list for this update include the Rustic Inn in Eldridge, and Jimmie O’s in west Davenport, which was known up until recently as Carole’s Tap.  If it hadn’t changed ownership and names, I probably would never have gone back there, but it adds to the total.  I’m now at 419
